NEMROCK labs provide regular, specialized and urgent services to the patients at our Medical Center as well as the referred patients from the community physicians or other hospitals. We maintain awareness of the value of the service that we perform and continually seek ways in which we can improve our patient care activities and the training of our staff. We work together as a cohesive unit and recognize the overall goal of excellence in patient care whether it is through education, research or clinical activities.

We are actively involved in clinical research and strongly encourage our staff to participate in translational research studies that lead to scientific advancements and aid in early disease detection, diagnosis and the discovery and development of novel biomarkers capable of predicting disease outcome and the individualization of therapy. We attempt to foster an environment of mutual kindness, concern, consideration and compassion in the performance of our professional duties and in our interactions with clinicians and patients that we serve.

     - Automated blood counters and coagulometers
     - Consultative Services:
  • Bone marrow aspirate/biopsy
  • Special cytochemical stains

Chemical Pathology Unit:

  • Automated chemistry analyzer System
  • Protein electrophoresis (serum and urine)
  • Monitoring of Therapeutic Drugs (e.g. Methotrexate; MTX)
  • Tumor markers analyzer

Immunology Unit:

  • Viral screening (HBs Ag, HCV ab, HIV ab,……..)
  • Immunofixation

Microbiology Unit:

  • Culture and identification of microorganisms
  • Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing
  • Automated blood culture

Flow Cytometry Unit:
We carry out studies on bone marrows or peripheral bloods & perform a number of tests including:

  • Leukemia/lymphoma Immunophenotyping
  • CD34 Hematopoetic Progenitor Cell Counts
  • T and B Cell Subset Analysis

Molecular Biology Unit:

  • Real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) which allow for quantitative measurement of DNA or RNA molecules.

Cyto-genetics Unit:

  • FISH (Fluorescence in situ Hybridization)
  • Karyotyping ( pending)
